Even after many weeks of Corona outbreak in China and the whole world panicking, we didn't even have a checking setup at the airport. People were freely entering Nepal directly from China. There was a news that even Indians were using the route through Nepal because India had started keeping people coming from China in quarantine while they could travel freely through Nepal. A recent news says a Spanish man who had visited Nepal has died and when the body was tested, it had Corona Virus. So, to think that the virus is still away from us is questionable. Then, why hasn't the number of reported cases increased? Its because we haven't reported at all.

Now some facts about the Corona Virus which are against the general opinion:

• The Corona virus isn't as scary as it has been portrait. The first and only reported Nepali person infected with Corona was cured easily with normal treatment and now living healthy. If you aren't above 60+ aged, then you have less than 1% chance of getting seriously ill by the virus.

• Corona Virus cannot live in temperature above 25°C for more than 2 hours. So, once the hot season arrives, the virus is bound to be ineffective. The same reason is why it hasn't spread in the african countries as other epidemics in past had spread. African countries are the most poorly prepared, yet they have the least cases.

• A paper mask cannot protect us from the virus. The normal mask we use is a surgical paper mask which has nearly no effect on Corona Virus. Corona virus are relatively big in size and they don't travel in air live other airborne viruses. Covid-19 spreads when an infected person coughs and transfers to person in front of him, or when he/she touches something and leaves the virus there. The mask that can protect us is the N-9 mask, which also isn't the right measure as its becomes difficult to breathe and very uneasy with that mask on us. So, mask isn't a solution at all. The best solution is, wash hands properly as it travels from our hand to mouth or nose, and avoid contact with the infected person which doesn't seem possible.
