When I was in grade 9, we had a piece in Nepali by Mahakavi Laxmi Prasad Devkota titled: Ke Nepal Sano Chha?. It was a literary masterpiece in its description of how immense Nepal is in itself despite being such an insignificant entity in terms of its size. I would highly recommend it to those who havent read it yet. Tei context ma, aaja Saraswati Puja ko din lets discuss:
Ke Nepal Garib Chha?
Remittance le dhaneko des jasma euta pariwar ko atleast ek jana bides gako chha ra paisa pathako chha. Cash supply enough bhayeko bhayera nai eti dherai bank haru chhan and they make profits year in and year out. Ka, Kha Ga Gha khoi kati wota barga ko financial institution haru ni chhan. Some are doing well, some not some just run away with savings of those who are enticed by higher returns on their savings. Another reason is that deposit garda bank le customer lai dine interest rate ra aafule tei bank sanga loan liye tirnu parne intetest rate ko margin, i.e. spread is significant enough to ensure that banking sector ma paisa double huna kei time lagdaina. For illustration purposes, if the spread is 10%, it means the bank can expect to double its investment in just over 7 years. But the problem seems to be lack of proper investment channels, lack of incentives for investment in other sectors and under utilization of land, labour and capital. So, malai lagchha Nepal garib chhaina, tara garibi chai chha, jaslai hatauna resources bhaye pani most sectors ma sub-par utilization bhai rako chha.
What is your take? Neta, corruption, baal matlab ho attitude, whatever… Lets hear it…. Ke Nepal Garib Chha?
